INTRODUCTION

The Al-Ghazi Association (trust general hospital is presently a “welfare non profit” hospital established to cater for the need for providing medical and health facilities to the poor of the vast and long neglected area which was being felt since long.

This hospital has been established jointly with the support, efforts and sincere advice of founding Chairmen and Executive Board/Committee members comprising of Professionals, Health Specialists, Social Scientists, Educators, Planners and Community based social sector workers and volunteers. The vision from day one was to build a modern integrated health care facility on a “non profit” basis.
 

While it is easy to construct a hospital on commercial basis in a town or city, it was quite challenging to build a welfare hospital in a far-flung rural area like “Bhong” a small village.

By the Grace of Allah , the initiative was taken by Rais Wazir Ahmed the Founding chairman in December 1998.Resources were mobilized and a full-fledged hospital consisting of 70 beds (which was extended to 105 beds in 2nd phase) was built.
